In his new show, Bruvel shifts away from his typical medium of steel, and towards the nature-oriented and age-old medium of wood. This movement towards a more organic medium allows Bruvel to apply his hard edged style with a softer and more lively touch, transcending the darker focus of metal and letting the proverbial light in. The works still retain Bruvel's mild futurism, with metallic vibrance and cubic organization, but leaping in a new thematic direction.
